
The City of Harker Heights is proud to announce the addition of a recycling collection point at the City’s existing solid-waste drop off center (located at 1761 FM 2410 - see map inset below). This service is provided to the citizens of Harker Heights via a partnership between Fort Hood and the City.
Only the following recyclable materials will be accepted at the drop off center:
Plastic
Aluminum
Paper
Cardboard (please break down all boxes)
Scrap Metal
Tires With Rims and Without Rims
The drop off center will not accept the following items:
Glass
Motor Oil
The drop site’s hours of operation starting May 1, 2011 are as follows:
Tuesday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Thursday 8 a.m to 5 p.m.
Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Please note that the drop off center will continue to accept brush and bulky solid-waste items from citizens with a current water bill and a drivers license. Please contact 953-5600 with any questions or concerns about the new recycling service.

Then type in your zip code or city name and PRESTO! A list of the nearest facilities will appear!
