Home Security Inspections
Did you know if your home meets specific requirements outlined by the Texas Insurance Code, you could be provided a 5-20% reduction in homeowner insurance premiums?
How can you get this Inspection Done?
By appointment, a Harker Heights Community Services Police Officer, who is certified as an Inspector by the Texas Crime Prevention Institute, will come to your residence to complete a security survey and make recommendations on how to improve your current security and ascertain whether or not your home qualifies for a homeowner’s insurance reduction. The officer will then file all the necessary paperwork with the Texas Department of Insurance in order for you to obtain the premium reduction.
Premium reduction certificates are valid for three years and may be renewed for an additional three years at the request of the homeowner. These requirements are considered minimum requirements and will not be waived under any circumstance. Your home must meet all requirements prior to any certificate being issued by the Texas Department of Insurance.
