Future Sports
There are many more adaptive sports that we want to bring to this area and with the right resources and involvement, there are no limits. Kayaking, Fencing, Tennis, and Pickle Ball are just a few of the sports that we want to offer in our Adaptive program. Please call or check back at a later date to see how we've grown.

Youth Adaptive Sports

The Harker Heights Ability Sports program provides recreational opportunities for youth and young adults with intellectual disabilities. It was established in 2010 as an extension of the City of Harker Heights’ Paralympic Sports program. We are an all-inclusive program for children between the ages of 5 and 22. Our participant’s disabilities range from autism and Asperger’s to Downs Syndrome to cerebral palsy. Whether it is through participation, advocacy or coaching, we encourage everyone to get involved!

New HH Ability Sports events will be added to the calendar at various times. Information will be added to the city’s website. Please contact the Athletic Staff at 254.953.5657 to be added to the contact list for these events.

For more information or questions, please contact the Harker Heights Recreation Center at 254.953.5657.
