PLANNING AND ZONING PROCESSES – BACK IN OPERATION

As of now, Harker Heights city facilities are still closed to walk-in visits and public meetings are being held via teleconference. The City of Harker Heights will continue to follow all CDC and Bell County Health District guidelines, but we are resuming Planning and Zoning activities so long as they are done remotely. We are restarting the platting and zoning application submittal schedule, and the next available date to submit applications is April 29, 2020. Applications received on this date, if they require a public hearing, will go before the Planning and Zoning Commission on May 27, 2020 and will appear before the City Council on June 9, 2020. As of now, these meetings will be via teleconference, but we will provide updates as our situation progresses.

Thank you for your continued understanding, and we look forward to working with you to keep Harker Heights active and growing. If you have any questions, please contact the Planning Department.
