COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT

The City issued two (2) commercial construction permits through February 28, 2015.

  • ASYMCA – 54,900 sq. ft. building located at 100 Mountain Lion Drive valued at $12,100,000.
  • Taco Bell – 2,951 sq. ft. building located at 521 E FM 2410 valued at $450,000.

To date (February 28, 2015) the City has issued a total of three (3) commercial permit totaling $14,350,000 in commercial permit values for 2015.

 

RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT

The City has issued twenty-one (21) permits for single-family residential construction through February 28, 2015.

  • 13 residences in The Grove at Whitten Place
  • 6 residences in Tuscany Meadows
  • 1 residence in Evergreen Estates
  • 1 residence in Other

The City has issued three (3) permits for a two-family (duplex) residential construction through February 28, 2015.

  • 3 Duplexes in Comanche Land

To date (February 28, 2015) the City has issued a total of thirty-seven (37) residential permits in 2015.

 

POPULATION

 Based on residential permits received to date, February 28, 2015, the estimated population of Harker Heights is 29,161 residents.  According to the US Census, the population in 2010 was 26,700 residents.
