The City issued one (1) commercial construction permit for the month of June.

To date (June 30, 2017) the City has issued a total of six (6) commercial permits totaling $3,064,288 in project valuation for 2017.
The City has issued seven (7) permits for single-family residential construction for the month of June.
· 1 residence in The Ridge
· 3 residences in The Grove at Whitten Place
· 1 residence along Comanche Gap Road
· 2 residences in Tuscany Meadows
The City has issued three (3) permits for two-family (duplex) residential construction for the month of June.
· 1 Duplex in Comanche Land
· 2 Duplexes in Other
To date (June 30, 2017) the City has issued a total of one hundred seven (107) residential permits in 2017; ninety-four (94) single-family permits, thirteen (13) two-family permits and zero (0) multi-family permits.
As of June 30, 2017 the estimated population for the City of Harker Heights is 30,273 residents. This calculation is based off the total of active residential water accounts multiplied by persons per occupied unit. According to the US Census, the population in 2010 was 26,700 residents.
