The City issued one (1) new commercial construction permit within the month of August.
1. 3029 Hudson Boulevard – New Commercial (Amy’s Attic 2, Storage Facility). 88,400 square feet valued at $100,000.
To date (August 31, 2019) the City has issued a total of ten (10) commercial permits totaling $45,423,025 in project valuation for 2019.
The City has issued a total of eleven (11) permits for single-family residential construction within the month of August.
· 8 residences in Cedarbrook Ridge
· 1 residence in The Ridge
· 2 residences in various parts of the city

The City has issued a total of two (2) permits for two-family (duplex) residential construction within the month of August.

To date (August 31, 2019) the City has issued a total of 104 residential permits in 2019; one hundred (100) single-family permits, four (4) two-family permits, and zero (0) multi-family permits.
As of August 31, 2019 the estimated population for the City of Harker Heights is 30,485 residents. This calculation is based off the total of active residential water accounts (10,299) multiplied by persons per occupied unit (2.96). According to the US Census, the population in 2010 was 26,700 residents.
